Jordan Liberty
Jordan Liberty was born the son of two artists in small-town northern Ohio. He has a diverse background in drawing and painting, dance, graphic art, and music production and arrangement. As a seasoned artist, he pursued further opportunities in Philadelphia in 2002.
Jordan has done makeup for runway, film, event, retail, and (primarily) editorial pieces, and he has a firm understanding of what real women want from their makeup. It is this understanding that led to the creation of Give Good Face, his upcoming book that deconstructs his own portfolio – recipe style. He has mentored artists around the globe and recently created The Makeup Mafia, a worldwide network of makeup artists that encourages members interested in nurturing their talents.
Give Good Face, expected to be available for international sale in 2011, has been a long-winded journey. As of April 2010, Jordan and Jonny (Jonathan Sorber, fashion photographer) have spent more than 700 hours in the studio shooting visuals for the book. From mild to wild, they have combined their efforts towards a singular vision.
